Hello, My name is Buckley and I am about 3 years old. My foster mom calls me Buckley Baby Boy and I like that. I am a pretty big boy.

I will tell you a few things my foster mom has noticed: I am a very gentle giant, definitely loves to be loved and is a lap dog for sure. I love to play. But I don’t seem to understand a large nice back yard and I prefer to play in the house. We are working on that because I move furniture. I do love toys, especially pull type toys and honestly, I prefer red toys (color blind - who knows?).

I am friendly, go on walks, very well behaved not aggressive with anyone. Well trained, sit, shake, and respond to whistles. But my fosters can’t whistle but some friends stopped by and I responded well.

I eat very well with 4 Chihuahuas no aggressive eating behaviors at all. I like toys and love to pull and fetch. I also like playing with the Chihuahua’s but I am big and they are little so my playfulness needs to be watched as I may step or jump on them. However, I am aware they like to be in blankets so I never lay on the blankets unless I make sure no puppies are in them. I move the blankets to make sure.

The ferret, on the other hand, I like to chase and try to play too rough. I also like to chase the cat so that is not a good match for me.

I do OK with the Desert Tortoise. At first I hid from it but now it's no big deal.

I do OK in the crate now. Took a while as I am very clingy to my foster mom. I still get up every time she leaves the room but when she leaves I only pace a little while until she comes home. Now I sleep in my crate and if I whine my foster mom tells me I am OK and all is good.

I am very timid. The dark scares me and anything out of place like a lawnmower but when I am shown all is well I am OK. I do not try to escape at all.

I am looking for a home with a family that is active and can play with me. No cats but I do like playing with other dogs but maybe a little bigger so we can actually play. I want to be loved and appreciated. I am so full of love and just want to be accepted into a forever family that will love me as much as I will love them forever.
