Hello, My name is Kai and I am a 1-year-old Great Dane with an incredible personality. I love to play with my pitbull-mix foster brother as well as my human foster brother (13 yrs) and will play fetch as long as you're willing to keep throwing a ball or other toy. I walk well on a leash and only pull a little but I don't zig-zag and I never try to stray from the path. I love meeting people and other animals and do not show any signs of aggression at all and I don't jump up when I greet people. At home, I am well behaved and I don't have any bad habits. I am housebroken and will let my foster family know when I need to go out to go potty. When I arrived at my foster home I did not know any basic commands but I was very eager to learn and I now know how to sit and lie down, and I will do so before walks so you can put my leash on, as well as when receiving treats. I am NOT a counter surfer like many of my cousins. I will come to your side when you sit down to eat but if you tell me that it is not mine I will lie down nearby and not beg. I am pretty active and playful, but I am also pretty mellow and don't have any separation anxiety and can be left alone for extended periods without any problems. My foster brother has taught me to bark at "intruders" outside the back wall and front window, but I will let people come to the front door without causing a ruckus. You can also open the door without me trying to barge out past you to escape. I am a really good boy that would do well in a home with another dog that is equally playful so we can chase each other outside in the yard.
