Hi There. My name is Sparta and I am a 2 year old female Great Dane. I’m so glad you are taking the time to read my bio. Was it my picture? Admit it, it was right? I know, I totally worked the camera with my beautiful brown puppy dog eyes. I can be quite irresistible at times. I consider myself to be a pretty easy going dog (and my foster mom agrees). I am not crate trained as my foster mom gives me access to the house when she leaves and I am well behaved. I love to go on walks and hikes and am good on my lead, but pull a little more at first from the excitement. I am friendly with other dogs we meet along the way, but may get more excited and pull if I see a rabbit. They are my favorite. I enjoy a good soup bone to pass the time as well as playing with my foster sister…although she is more of the instigator than me. I play with my dog toys sometimes, but am more interested in being outside and exploring more. I enjoy a nap on the couch (or a super nice comfy dog bed, if that is not your thing). I enjoy the dog park and may play a bit (mostly with my foster sister), but am really more of a people person myself. I will bark if I hear something I do not recognize to alert you and am always alert about my surroundings. I enjoy company coming to the house and love meeting new people. I am not that fond of water, but do not mind playing in the rain or letting you give me a bath. I am looking for a forever home where I will be loved and well taken care of in return for my unconditional love.
